Artistic Touch

Yeah right, I'm no artist. But I can pretend to be. Wanna see some of my drawings I've done? Of course you do.

This one is my favorite :3

And the awesome thing? You know when you hear something over and over and over again, and you never really 'get' what it means. Then one day you hear it, and it just clicks in your brain and it ALL MAKES SENSE! Yes I just experienced that.

Boomerang channel. Their motto: "It's all coming back to you." I thought that was because they were older shows. But it's because it's BOOMERANG channel! It comes back to you :D
Yeah, I just noticed that.

Gonna go back

Hallelujah, I get to go back to practice today! FINALLY!!!!!! I've been feeling so unproductive lately, it's driving me crazyy. My knees are still really bruised and I can't put pressure on them, but I don't care. I just want to get back out there. And I can't wait until they're completely healed so that I can start running, before summer practice starts. -shudder- Good times

Also, I'd like to point out my hair, the big fuzzy thing on my head I call hair, is cooperating today. It's like, almost normal. Yeah, most of you are probably like, yeah cool good to know, but it makes my day when I wake up and see my hair like this. :'D

AND, my fingers hurt from trying out the guitar my dad's student lent us. It's so hard to do it right. But I'm determined. I really want to learn, and I'm gonna get used to it. Dang it.

Yup yup, and it's a beautiful day out, the sun is shining, and summer is on its way. How exciting. Most of my teammates dread summer practice, and all the conditioning, but this year I really can't wait for it all. It's so much fun, even with all the conditioning. Just wait, you'll see. ;)

Oh, p.s, pleaseeee go look at my other blog, too!!!! It would mean a lot to me if you'd go check it out. It's really important to me!

This really just made my day. I now have 101 views here. Thank you guys so much, whether you accidentally stumbled upon this while looking for something else, or you actually meant to come here, you got my number to 100. Yippeeeee

So let's see, on a less happier note, on the outside, I am amazing.. on the inside, I am scaring the heck out of myself. About death. Enough said, moving on.
I drew Perry the Platypus today. It was pretty awesome. And I played with Legos for the first time in a while. And now listening to Pandora, a Shinedown song has come on. Heroes to be exact. What perfect timing. I love it. Oh and I ate really yummy cake :D

I'm not very talkative right now. I'm just gonna go back to Tumblr, k?

But I'll leave you with this, so you'll understand the awesomeness I was just listening to:

Short and Sweet and to the point

My awesome for the day? Well, it's going to be really lame, but I got all my homework done! That relief you feel, right? When you finally finish it all... until next time of course. But for the moment, it's pretty awesome. Especially when you are stuck on one part of the assignment all week and can't figure it out, then you finally do!!! Now I'm off to go draw. I'm on day..... 6! Favorite book character, can't be a movie. We'll see what I've got.. :)

My head

You're probably wondering... why the heck is she going to write about her head?! Well, because I like it that's why. It's round, with brown curly hair, and eyes, a nose, and a mouth. I mean, who wouldn't want to write about their head?

I'm just kidding.. By my head I meant in my head. Like my imagination. (oohhhhhh, now I get it... am I right?) With this 30-day drawing challenge I'm doing, day 4 (the number I'm up to) was your favorite place. Now, I have a lot of favorite places. But my absolute favorite place is in my own head. In my own little world, where anything can happen, the way I want it to happen. Come on, who doesn't love that? If you hate someone, you can imagine destroying them. If you love someone you can imagine kissing them. If you want something, want to go somewhere, you can imagine getting it or going there. In your head, the possibilities are absolutely endless. As endless as your imagination is. And heck, I think mine goes on for an eternity. That, or it makes one big circle over and over and over again, but it's different every time.

Either way, it's easily my favorite place. I can have whatever I want to happen happen there, and it can make me feel happy, sad, mad, or loved. Whatever I want. What's better than that?
Now you're probably wondering (or most likely not) what my head is like. I call it a maze. A maze that you never want to leave. At least, I never want to leave it.  But it's up to you. But it's like an endless maze that has something new around every turn. Awesome right?

Anyways, I didn't really know HOW to draw that, so I ended up drawing the outdoors. I love the outdoors, its absolutely beautiful. I want to live in a treehouse. Yeah, sounds dumb, I know. But hey, anything's possible. And I'm not kidding, I really do. Nature is beautiful. Amazing. Awesome. Breathtaking. I'm gonna stop there, otherwise you're gonna get one of my rants about how the human race is destroying the natural beauty of our planet....

And HEY, my drawing wasn't bad. It has a lake, and a mountain in the background. And trees and hills. In fact, I'll show you the image that I based my drawing off of:
Courtesy of Wikipedia

Of course, my drawing doesn't look like that at ALL. But it's....... kind of close. I'll post a picture eventually.

Soldiers

Good news... maybe. My knees aren't horribly damaged. But the bad news..... no practicing on them for the rest of the week. I feel so incapable right now!!!! Gah.
Well, at least everything else that hurts has a chance to get better now.
You know what's really awesome? Good music. You know what's good music? Rock. You know what made me think of this? No, not Shinedown (for once). But I'm listening to this song right now, and it's a good song and I really like it:

I don't know what I'm setting y'all up with video wise, I've never watched the video, just listened to the song. But it's called "Soldiers" by Otherwise. Listen to it! :D
And with that, I'm out for homework.

No Boise this year

Nope, I didn't make it to Westerns, which were in Boise this year. As much as I wanted to go, I am so glad season is over! You don't even understand. But I hurt my knees. My hand slipped on my vault (just smile and nod and roll with it if you don't understand) and I ended up doing an almost-belly-flop onto the mat. Except my knees hit first. So yeah, they're all swollen and stuff. But I got to ride around the airport in a wheelchair!!! Weeee! I am just happy that it didn't hurt so bad I couldn't do anything. I was able to finish my meet, and it was all right. After getting pushed in the Vegas airport, I walked in the Sacramento airport. I hate the feeling of being incapable on a lot of things. I hate not being able to walk or see. Those are my two biggest hates. I guess I can deal with the others, but if I lost my hearing all together, I would cry forever.
Anyways, yesterday I submitted an entry for the Shinedown iPad contest. And I didn't win :( Now I gots one more week to do it. What should I do hm...? I'll show you my picture. It was lots of fun taking them all, and I managed to get a few funny looks from passer-bys.. BONUS POINTS! Here's all the pictures we took:

My favorite is the handstand one. ;)
Ok, well I gotta go figure out something for this contest on the last week. Y'all have fun doing whatever it is you like to do.

Viva Las Vegas

First I shall apologize for any grammar/spelling errors. I'm not used to this keyboard... its my mom's netbook.
Vegas Vegas Vegas, where do I begin? I'll just say I'm competing tomorrow morning, I'm pretty nervous, but still wish me luck! I'm gonna kick butt!!!! (personal motivation there)...

Ok let's see. I guess I'll say first that to anyone out there who is on a diet, and you plan on coming out here and eating on the Strip, well, you're doomed. Because Vegas has the BEST buffets in the world. I walk away from those places about to explode I'm so full... but they are so worth it. Seriously, next time you're out here, unless you live out here then you're already here, go to the buffets. I'd recommend:
1. The Wicked Spoon at the Cosmopolitan
2. The Buffet at the Wynn
3. The Buffet at the Bellagio

And I can't recommend anymore than that because that's all I've been to. But go to them in that order, that's from best to least best. (yeah, be jealous of that grammar there <----)

And it's been so fun here. We saw a comedy magic show last night, Mike Hammer. FUNNY DUDE. Oh wow, this guy was good guys. So worth it. And the dude sitting in front of us... HA. He's one of those people who's reaction, and his laugh, makes you laugh so dang hard. I laughed at him as much as I laughed at the comedian. Uncontrollable laughter.
Let's see what else... saw some old friends, went shopping and got some new clothes on sale, walked Fremont Street, ate at amazing buffets, and ooh. Got a new leo for the practice that was on Thursday. Ours was cool. It was all shiny black with the NorCal logo on the chest. For those of you who don't know what that is here:

Except it was in gems.

And yeah, I got pictures with the Shinedown poster, too. Woop woop. Oh, you wanna see them? I can't do that yet. I have to put them all in one big collage and post it on the website first. And let me tell you, the farther along the contest gets, the more and more I realize how BADLY I want to read the "For Your Sake: The Making of Amaryllis" iPad Book. Like REALLY BAD GUYS.

Welp, thas all for now folks. I'm gonna go dream about getting the chance to read that book, and I guess I'll be back tomorrow night to tell y'all how I did.

Forever Shinedown

Regional Competition

I won't be here until Sunday again. I am going to Las Vegas for a gymnastics meet this weekend. I know, you're gonna miss me :'( but I'll be back
It's a really big important meet... yay. Regionals. From here I can qualify to Westerns. AND if I get a 37.000, or win all-around at the meet, my mom will enter us in a 5k Zombie Run in San Diego in October!! YAY :D
For any of you rocker fans, Halestorm's new album "The Strange Case Of..." came out yesterday. They're pretty dang awesome, you should go get their album too ;)

I had something awesome to say, but I am so tired right now I lost it.
But I know something not awesome: I hurt. Let me write it out:
Sore shoulders
Sore abs
Hurt knees
Hurt back
Hurt toe
Hurt hip
Hurt wrist

....and yep, I think that covers it. How exciting!!!!!

With that, my dear companions, I leave you with Shinedown lyrics:

"So do I remind you of someone you never met, a lonely silhouette
And do I remind you of somewhere you wanna be, so far out of reach
I wish you'd open up for me, cause I wanna know you
Amaryllis, Bloom."

Mathless Fool

No math homework this week. Isn't that enough to make any day awesome? Yeehaw. Well, that's because I did it all last week, over Spring Break. Oh well, now it all pays off. No coming home from practice to my math book waiting for me.

But I got onto my blogs last night and I saw.. 9 views? On this one, and like 7 on my other one: Idareyouflipz.blogspot.com

Yeah, yeah it's not a lot. But when you normally get 2-3 a day, 9 and 7 is a LOT! So, thank you guys again. It means so much to know people read my stuff.

Anyways, that's about all I've got, so how about we part ways with a little Shinedown? :)

Shinedown- Amaryllis

Shinedown- Adrenaline

Shinedown- Unity

Shinedown- I'll Follow You

Shinedown- Nowhere Kids

All right, that's all for now folks :)

I think... I'm coming out of my shell

Not the one that's permanently grown into my back (which most people like to call shyness). But I mean the one I crawled into after the Shinedown concert. It was a great shell, with lots of memories and good music and lots of thoughts and feelings. But it wasn't working, because I had to focus on the stuff around me. Certain things I managed to fake, other things I didn't. But I can tell, because I actually dealt with listening to something that wasn't Shinedown today. Ha. I think my parents are kind of getting tired of the new album, so they've been playing other music. Of course, that shell will always be a part of my life, I will crawl back into it occasionally. But I have to put it aside for right now; this week is extremely important and I must be extremely focused.

Today I started the first day of the 30 day drawing challenge I'm doing. The first day was to draw myself. Ha, fail. Not as bad as I though it'd be, but it was.... well, challenging. :)

And I finished my bracelet project. Want to see?
Here:

Come on, you can figure it out.

That's right, it's Shinedown's four albums. :) From left to right: Leave a Whisper, Us and Them, Sound of Madness, and Amaryllis. The color schemes for each of their albums. Pretty awesome right?
Even awesomer. I posted the picture on Twitter and tagged the Shinedown gang. A fan saw them and asked me for a set of them. It totally made my day. Knowing someone really appreciated my work. And now I've got bracelets to make for a while again. Woohoo.

Easter Sunday

Remember when you were younger? Easter meant getting up really early, trying to beat the Easter Bunny. Looking out your window and seeing colorful eggs hidden in the yard. Running around the house looking where he hid you Easter basket this year. Looking at all the stuff in your Easter basket then going outside to grab all those colorful little eggs. Then running back inside to open them all, count the money, eat the candy, and rounding up all the little treasures inside.

Ah, those were the days.

I've officially been promoted to assistant Easter Bunny now. I get to help fill the eggs and hide them. I still get my own Easter basket though :)
But hey, it's cool being on the other side of it all. Watching my younger siblings scramble for eggs while you know where (for the most part) all of them are. Good times.

So since my Shinedown concert has now come and gone, I've had nothing to count down for. Quite depressing actually. But I enjoy just sitting there and thinking back to that night. Because it was just sooo damn awesome. Anyways, I guess I'll start counting down for the Avengers, because it's GOT to be the best movie of the year coming out. Much anticipated to say the least. Soo, 26 days until the Avengers comes out.

Now I've got something to look forward to. But, "Don't count down the days, make the days count." I saw this earlier today, and I never realized how important it was, and honestly, how strongly I feel about this. There are some days when I just want to go out and do something. What it is, I don't know. But I want to make every second count. I just don't know how.

Perhaps I will figure it out one day.

When all else fails... what the hale

My catch phrase, because my last name's Hale. Get it? Hehehehehe

I missed a couple days I know. But I can sum it up into a couple things. Over the last few days I've been all kick-butt-ey at gymnastics practice, which is ALWAYS a great thing. ESPECIALLY because I AM going to get my mom to enter us in that race, even though she doesn't really want to(:

And I've been making tons of bracelets. My favorite thing to do(; I'm currently working on a project with them. When I'm done I'll show you. It's gonna be pretty awesomerific

And hey hey, anyone heard of Tumblr? Pretty epic. If y'all have one, you should go follow me. If you don't have one, y'all have no life and you should go get one to follow me(:

Yup, be jealous

The Easter Bunny Lives In Canada

So we have this map of the U.S and at the very top is a little bit of Canada. It also says at the top Pacific Time Zone, Mountain Time Zone, Central Time Zone, and Eastern Time Zone. The words are technically inside Canada. So my little brother is looking at the map and says "I know where the Easter Bunny lives. He lives in Canada. Cause see right here it says 'Eastern Time Zone'" And he points to the words. Oh, don't 6-year olds just make your day (:

We got a new 55-inch TV today! :D Holy crap its huge. It's blue-ray, 3D and all that fancy stuff. It's like, live action here peoples!!! Absolutely awesome.

Oh hey and on a final note, here's a picture of me with the "Amaryllis" CD, from Shinedown of course ;) WHICH, might I mention, is number 4 on the Billboard Top 200!!!!! It's sold 106,000 copies and its only been out for a week. How awesome is Shinedown?!?!

Stalking

I have become once again overly obsessed with Shinedown. Twitter is my new best friend again. I love it, because the band posts a LOT on Twitter >:) And I've managed to obtain 6 new followers in the past four days. I'm up to 12!!! Look who's flyin'... ha. As if XP
But seriously, I am loving Twitter right now.

Our packages finally came today! We got our Shinedown shirts, wristbands, posters, ALBUMS!, and these really cool lighters that say Avalanche Tour on them. 'Course I don't smoke, but its hecka cool.

Now I'm awaiting to see who's won the first iPad from the "Amaryllis Bloom" contest. There's some good ones... I really love mine though :)
And now I am currently listening to the Shinedown album. And it is amazing <3
