Amazingly Awesome but... EMOTIONAL?!

Can someone please explain to me why the hell I'm being so EMOTIONAL?!?! Ever since the show got over last night, I've wanted to cry! WHY?! Seriously, lately whenever I'm thinking of Shinedown I start crying. Maybe because I've been waiting for soo long, and now it's over. Maybe because my DREAM, to meet the band, has been fulfilled. Maybe because it wasn't enough? Maybe I miss it. Or maybe, I'm just one messed up human being.

So yesterday was pretty awesome though. On the way to Reno I got to listen to a interview on Sirius Radio with Shinedown from the other day. So then we got to the hotel. There was like three hours to blow before the meet and greet. So we were going down to the arcade to play some games (we as in me, my mom and my dad) and we ended up passing Zach Myers (Shinedown guitarist for all you newbies), whom happened to be coming back from a workout. Hehe. I was wearing my Shinedown T-shirt so he said hi and I said hi as he walked past. Purdy cool.

Anyways, 5 o'clock came around. They called our names and gave us the wristbands. There were only 27 people going to meet them! And we were three of them!!! Jake led us backstage and had us all stand in a line. He gave us instructions and handed us all pictures for the band to sign and then went to go get the guys. I think... I almost either stopped breathing or almost started jumping up and down like a bunny wabbit.

Then they CAME OUT. Awwwwwww yeah. As a side note, they're shorter than I though they'd be. They're all around my height, and I'm like 5'6"ish. It's so awesome. Eric and Barry started on one side of the line and Zach and Brent started on the other. We were right in the middle of the line(:

They guy right next to me was an older man and he and Brent were really funny. He said "Your oldest fan." And Brent was all, "Oldest? Oh no way. You don't look a day over 30. I'm 34 and you look younger than me."

Then Brent came to me and shook my hand. I handed him the picture and our Sound of Madness album to sign. (After playing a game of which one?! haha) Zach said he recognized us when he was all sweaty and breathless. Eric has a really cool hat on :) And Barry was really nice. I like his hair. Actually I like all the guys' hair..

Oh then we got in line to get pictures. When it was our turn, my dad asked if they could say happy birthday to me. Even though my birthday isn't for a few months, it was an early present! They ended up all singing happy birthday to me! It was so amazing. My favorite band in the world, my favorite people, singing to ME... <3
We got a really really awesome picture and then they had to leave. Still, amazing backstage epicness.

And you know what? I want to meet them again. And again. And again. It'll never get old. They're the awesomest guys ever. So nice, and friendly and funny. And genuine. One of the most important things you could ask for in a band!!!!

Here's us, me and the band and mom and dad. I'm the girl in the middle, in between Brent and Zach :)

All right I have a lot more to say but its time to watch Person of Interest. More next time bye :)

Short

Short post, got lots of stuff to do.

The other day I had to drive home on the freeway for the first time..... and it was actually not as bad as I thought it'd be. Thank goodness.

Today I got to hear part of an interview Shinedown did on Sirius XM Octane. So exciting, it got me so much more pumped for tomorrow. Oh and I got to see the Hunger Games again :) even better the second time yeee.

Sad news... We haven't gotten our package from Shinedown yet :( it has our shirts, CD's, posters, and wristbands. DX It's kinda depressing, because I wanna listen to their album!!!!!!!

But I am going to see if they will sign my notebook tomorrow YAY!

Today was pretty awesome, but for some reason I'm having a hard time remembering yesterday.... I am losing it peoples!!!

I will majorly update y'all on my big night. I am soo dang excited, and I am determined to say way more than just "hi" to them. You know what'd be awesome? If Brent Smith read one of my poems. BEST...  MOMENT.... EVER.

All right, homework time. Peace out

It... Is... March... 27th!!!!

Yup, lookie at that date. Can only mean one thing.... Shinedown's new album has officially come out today! Whoop whoop. And that means 'tis now only three more days until the concert. Whoo-buddy, I'm getting so excited! It's like surreal. I just have to remember to breathe... and to talk.

But yesterday, I finally got the nerves to tell the guy I liked (Remember I'm a girl here peoples) that I liked him. I had some help from my friend... XD. Cause I'm soo dang shy. His answer? Well, if I knew I'd tell you. But he hasn't replied yet.... Maybe I scared him off... or worse... Eh. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

But I've realized, after the concert I will have nothing to look forward to. Summer I guess. But I'm not ready for summer to hit yet. I need to make a few more amends first. Anyhoo, I shall make it last while I can.

And when you get the chance, go buy the new Shinedown album. It'll be worth it =)

Gymnastics

Yeah, not sure if I've told you, but I'm a gymnast. I hope for quite a few more years, but that's in jeopardy right now. Don't really wanna talk about it. But I had State Championships yesterday.... and yeah the awesomeness stops there really. Let's see, I fell on bars and messed up on floor, I fell on one vault and did terrible on the other, and beam was sloppy, but I stayed on. So yeah, I guess the good thing is I made beam. And regionals. Three weeks to train, and yes I will totally kick much more ass at that meet, and yes I said ass.

Today was a lot better. Why you ask? Psh, Shinedown, duh. Because we have VIP tickets for the concert (which is 5 days away I must add) we get to stream the album before it comes out!!!! (Which is in two days if you were wondering) So, you guessed it, I've been listening to it all day!!! WHICH IS AMAZING... YEEEEEE. Yes, I will be a fangirl when fangirling is necessary. And fangirling is completely necessary when Shinedown is part of the picture. I think what makes it even more awesome, on a serious critique level, each song is totally different. A lot of bands, some of their songs sound the same, have the same rhythm or tune, but this album, every song is different. Each one is unique with it's own sound, and on a non-biased level judgment, I think that's what makes it so great. For me, the same sound over and over again is boring. This one keeps you on your toes, so to say, because it's different.

AND I LOVE IT

Hunger Games, peoples!!!!!

March 23rd. Anyone who doesn't live under a rock knows what came out today: The HUNGER GAMES!!!!!!! (and for those of you who do live under a rock.... ew, too many bugs.)
So, me and my mom were gonna go by ourselves, but my best friend said she really wanted to go with us.  So in the end me, my mom, and my best friend and her little sister came with us, and it was amazing. We even got D-Box seats, which were hecka cool. Added a nice effect to the movie.
Our audience was really, really funny. Quite.. animated. They laughed, screamed, clapped, and one kid, "And they still don't kiss!" Quite humorous. Oh, and of course I can't forget my "OH MY GOD!" when the mutants popped out of the dark. For those who have seen it, you know exactly what part I'm talking about.
Oh and I've realized I want my own Mockingjay Pin, it's so awesome!!! But I didn't like how she got the Pin in the movie, just sayin'. Besides that, the movie was fantastical!

Who's your favorite character? I love Haymitch, he's my favorite XD he's hella funny

Oh, AND 4 more days until the album (although you can stream it on iTunes, and all the songs are on YouTube now), and ONE WEEK until the concert. OOOOOHHHH  I'm gettin' so fricking excited!!!!!

All right, peace out.

Ew.

All I can say for today is... EW. Frog dissection is nastily gross. Peoples, it takes a lot to make me want to throw up, and let me say, I almost did today. But, I will tell you that is NOT the awesome thing that happened today. What was awesome? Erm, lemme see, I think it'd be that I will be getting a really yummy dessert tonight perhaps. My parents went to a comedy show, and there is an amazing dessert place nearby. YUM, I cannot wait

Yesterday, let's see. Ooh, early practice. I like getting home early, it's so relaxing and nice to come home at 6:45 instead of 8:45. Yeah, that's really it. Besides that it was a normal, average day I guess. Yippee.

That friend that can make your day

I can say I have a good amount of friends, and I love them all. And they're all amazing in their own way. And I need and depend on every one of them.
But I just love that friend that is just... awesome.
I have a friend like that. He listens, he's funny, and we have the same taste in music (always a plus ;D).
And the other day I was talking to him about that guy I like, remember, and this is what he said.

Him: Want help?
Me: Yes please
Him: ok
this is what u do
make sure something soft is behind him
then u tackle him and start making out with him
like a wild animal
:D
hope that helps
:P

These are the coolest, awesomest of friends. They can make you smile and laugh at the most difficult situations, when you're at your lowest. Not that it takes a lot to make me smile or laugh, even when I'm bawling my eyes out, my friends somehow always make me laugh, most of the time.

So I guess that would be my awesomeness for yesterday, talking to my friend. Cuz he's funny as hell and super... awesome :D

It just works

Do you ever have one of those days where something just goes right? Not everything, so to say, but something that you normally have to try extra hard to do right, it just happens without that extra effort? It's an awesome feeling, because you feel like you've conquered it. You don't worry about the next day, or the past days, you just live in the moment of successfully acomplishing that thing that's usually extremely difficult.

That was yesterday! Usually on floor, I have to work extra hard to get my tumbling to go correctly. It's horrible!!! But, yesterday it was so natural and so easy, I loved it. I was able to go, whip out the tumbling, and land it the correct way. Which was awesome, because the other events weren't as well. But I didn't care then. All I cared about was the fact that I was kicking butt. I hope it continues through the week; I have to compete States this weekend. States is a big meet, and you can qualify to Regionals, then either Westerns or Nationals. Me, a level 9, goes to Westerns.

So yeah, that was my awesomeness. And P.S, thumbs up to anyone who totally understood what the heck I was talking about up there. All my gymnastics-y-ness. :)

Maximum Ride

Yesterday I got my Maximum Ride book. If you've never heard of it, you're missing out. I am so obsessed with the books right now, they are so amazing. To give you an idea of how obsessed I am, I finished it in under 24 hours. Yep, its that good.

Today I went to this place called Fat Kitty City, a local cat sanctuary. I love cats, and I decided to make part of my directed project class at school community service. After checking it out this afternoon, I must say: I am in love.
They take such good care of the cats there, and they never put any cat down to sleep. There are many handicapped cats there, but they are just as sweet and lovable as the non-handicapped ones. They enclose the area to keep them safe, and they have indoor and outdoor places for them to roam on their own. I love it, it's the perfect place for stray, feral and abandoned kitties. Definitely something *I* want to do when I'm older.

OH, and I thought I'd just give you a quick update here. 9 more days until the album comes out, and 12 more days until the concert. Ooooh boy, I'm getting excited :))

OHHH, and HERE. I found this!! It's a musical March Madness. You can vote for all your favorite bands! My only request is that you pretty PLEASE vote for Shinedown if they're still in the running when you click the link. :) PRETTY PLEASE
Here it is: Musical March Madness

Yes, I am a teenager

Before I go on about awesomeness, I thought I'd just say that I am teenager, and I am a girl. SO, my posts might be a little bit cheesy, a little stupid, a little... yeah cheesy is a good word. BUT, I AM NOT A GIRLY GIRL. I rarely wear make-up, I'm not big on buying lots of fancy schmancy expensive clothes, and I don't spend hours on end doing my hair. Ok? Good.

So, the reason for the heads up is because we're talking about Thursday here. Thursday was awesome because I got to talk to the guy I really like. I don't say crush, it sounds cheesy to me...
ANYWAYS, being homeschooled and online school-y and all, I don't get to see him much. And he's not the online talker-type. So when I have a conversation with him, it's nice. But see, I'm the really, really, really, REALLY shy type, so even though *I* like him, I don't want to tell him, or ask him if it's the other way around, too. Oh, his name? Psh, yeah, I'm not that dumb. I'm not telling. (Although some friends of mine know.... good luck finding out who they are >:D)

Yesterday now. I got to watch my TV shows and eat and amazing dessert. There was something else, but apparently I've forgotten now. If I ever remember... OH I REMEMBER NOW. Ok hold on. Going to fast here.
So my TV shows? Modern Family and Person of Interest. And Big Bang Theory, but that wasn't part of yesterday. These three shows are my absolute favorite, and I look forward to every Wednesday and Thursday to watch them. Of course, I love Phineas and Ferb as well. But my all time favorite TV show always has and will be Teen Titans. <3

Dessert? AMAZING. Something my mom picked up from a food truck (she loves them). A Smore's sandwich. Yup you heard me right. Take two pieces of bread, put marshmallow cream on one piece, Nutella on the other. Smush a graham cracker between them two slices, then grill the sandwich, like you would a grilled cheese. HEAVEN ON EARTH. The trick, though, is to finding the right bread. Use thinner pieces, tastes better.

Oh, so that last thing I remembered. Writing. I love writing, it's my passion. I totally love writing, an I've been working on a book for months now. I haven't been working on it for a long time. But I finally started writing it again. I sneak some writing time in during school time. It was awesome to get writing again.

I write poetry, too. If you want to read some of the stuff I've written, you can go to my other blog:

www.idareyouflipz.blogspot.com

...i hope that link works.
All right, I'm out. PEACE!

Avenger >:D

Landed on my head yesterday! Second time this year so far, looks who's on a roll. I like to take things at a humorous level, because if not I emotionally break down. I've learned its the best way to deal with things. Finding the positives right? Yep.
Ooh, so yesterday I got to watch Thor. Awesome moment of the day. I cannot wait for the Avengers! I might be a girl, but I know a good superhero movie when I see one. Plus, I absolutely LOVE superheroes. AND I CANNOT WAIT! So I've seen Thor, both Iron Mans (my favorite), the second Hulk, and Captain America. I just gotta watch the first Hulk, and then I'll be all prepared. According to my dad. He says you can't see The Avengers without seeing all the movies before it. Man I can't wait.
No, I can. Because first I've gotta see the Hunger Games. Usually when a book turns into a movie, it's not as good as the book. And it doesn't seem very exciting. But I personally think the Hunger Games will be GREAT as a movie. Lots of action. Man I'm so excited. Iron Man is so dang awesome. But I like them all, and the movie is going to be sooooooo epic.
And of course, after that is the SHINEDOWN concert ;D. It is now... 15 days until the concert, 12 days until the album comes out. My grandma is trying to take my place at the concert. Oh heck no. Shinedown is MY band, and *I* will see them, because I cannot live without them. I might be overreacting a little bit, but I will not miss the opportunity to see and MEET my favorite band. I'll take a picture for her. That's like me going to a Bon Jovi concert instead of her. Oh, but I have to drive part of the way there. From Sacramento to Reno. Hahahaha, I'm so nervous. I've had my permit for like two months. But I don't have to drive on the freeway, thank goodness. Just a few miles on an apparently very windy road. As long as its not raining, I'm okay.

Coming home

My little brother got to come home yesterday. I was so happy to see him, I haven't seen him in practically a week. He was super ecstatic to be home. I realized how much I missed him. I was actually surprised because he didn't look any different. I'd think that being cooped up and not being able to eat much and everything, that he'd look somewhat different, paler, skinnier, but he looked just like his normal self. It was awesome =)

15 and 18 more days :)

If you haven't figured it out by now, I am a huge Shinedown fan. Like huge, like this huge
____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ xINFINITY Ok? Humongous

So, 15 days? Well, 15 days until their new album Amaryllis comes out of COURSE! =D

18 days? That's until March 30th, which is their concert in Reno, which my and my parents are going to!!!!!!! The best part? Guess who gets to meet the band? Yep, that's right, ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -dies from overexcitement- My biggest idols EVER, and I get to say hi to them. You know awesome it'd be if I could show them something I wrote? Like one of my poems? You know how amazing it'd be if they liked it? Holy SNOT, I might stop breathing if that happened.

Anyways, today's awesome was going to be a little hard to find. My brother might get to come home tomorrow, but you know, it was just an average day. UNTIL ABOUT 10 MINUTES AGO WHEN I FOUND THIS:

http://www.noisecreep.com/2012/03/12/shinedown-unity-video/

Yep, that's right, it's another one of Shinedown's new songs. ACCOMPANIED BY a music video. Again, two awesomes mixed together creating a weapon of mass awesomeness. Truly great song, should really listen to it. <3

A few days

So, lesse here, yesterday I had a gymnastics meet, my home meet to be exact. It was really awesome. It was the best one I've had all season, and it was really fun, too. It was also a reunion, kind of, of old teammates. It was nice seeing everyone again. I got a 9.600 out of 10 on vault, and got first place. A 9.600 is a really good score, and a really hard one to get.

Today was a quiet day. I spent it with my aunt and my little brother. The one who isn't in the hospital. It was nice.

Not much more. My brother is still in the hospital, he still gets really high fevers. I just hope he's okay.

A hard awesome to find

Yesterday's awesome? Difficult to find. Why? Because my six year old little brother had to go to the hospital yesterday. And he's staying there for a few days.
My mom took him to urgent care because he'd been throwing up from Sunday night until yesterday afternoon. He also said his head really hurt, his side really hurt, he was weak and dizzy, and he had a fever of 103.5. After being there for about five hours, they were going to let him go home, saying he had an extreme case of the stomach flu, but right before they did, they found three things:
1) Kidney Stones
2) Cysts on the kidneys (Which isn't that bad I guess, a lot of people have them)
3) Inflamed and impacted bowels, which, again, isn't THAT bad, except our dad has Chrome's disease, so it makes the situation dangerous.

After keeping him overnight, they found out what might've caused a lot of it was a urinary track infection as well. My little brother is just having a really difficult time right now :(

Anyways, finding an awesome here is really hard. But, I think it would be that I got my drawing supplies. I chose drawing as an elective for my classes this year (I'm a sophomore), so I'd ordered a bunch of supplies. They came yesterday!!! I got two sketch books, two tracing pads, two drawing books (like teaching you how to draw) and a set of pencils and charcoal and erasers. Of course, I picked up the set of pencils and thought "How the heck am I supposed to use these?" Because truthfully, the best I can do is stick people, but I really wanna learn to be better than that. So, I have no idea what the heck I'm doing, but between Youtube, my books, and common sense, I'm gonna make it look like I know what I'm doing. :)

Awesome status

Yesterday was pretty awesome. You know why? Psh, if you're a massive Shinedown fan, like yours truly, then you'd know why. Right? Come on, what Shinedown fan DOESN'T know what happened yesterday?
For those of you who aren't fans, they have a new single out, called "Bully". You know, "All you'll ever be is the fading memory of a bully, make another joke while they hang another rope so lonely." Great song, very inspirational, very touching, and very hardcore. Should go listen to it. But anyways, so this new song, and its a huge hit. Their new album Amaryllis is coming out March 30th. But what made yesterday so awesome is that the music video for the song "Bully" came out!!! HAPPY DAYS PEOPLE HAPPY DAYS!!!!!! And I must say, the video is just as powerful as the song. And when you put the two together, BAM!, man they could like, take over the world. Theoretically of course XD.
For those Shinedown fans who somehow have not seen the video yet, and for those non-Shinedown fans that reeeaalllllyyyy think they should become fans, here's the video.

Here's an acoustic version of the song:

Oh and here's the official lyric video (although I'm sure EVERYONE'S seen that)

And heck, why not a live version also?

All right all right, I'm done here. But please, WATCH THAT FIRST VIDEO AND SEE WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. YOU HAVE TO AGREE WITH MEEEEE

Anything Awesome?

As I said before, some days its a lot harder finding awesome things than others. Yesterday, was one of those days. It seemed nothing made my day stand out, except for going to bed and falling asleep to my amazing music. And yeah, that was about it.

Today, I guess the awesome thing was I got to sit and watch movies. I watched Pirates of the Caribbean 4, Cars, and Harry Potter 8... yes I call it 8, not 7 part 2, 8. Because it's the eighth one. Deal? Deal.
Oh and I finished my Maximum Ride book 2, and got halfway through the third one.

I know, kind of lame awesome things, but I'm kind of.... gloomy right now. So hang with me here. One day, I'll have a hard time picking one out of many awesome things. Someday..

Perspective

Perspective. Something extremely important to me. How you look at things determines your happiness in life. So, my goal? Find something awesome in every day. Just one awesome thing. Some days will be hard. Some will be easy. But dang it, I'm going to do it.

Awesome thing today?
Easy, making this blog :)
